It's nights like this that I get into my car and reminisce about all the goings-on in the hours past and realize...wow, we are really blessed.
Tonight was a couple's night-apart(shocking, I know!) Stu made plans to meet up with his friends Brad and co. (which means, Brad and some guys who I'm unsure of at this point) to see the latest movie "Tron", and I had plans to attend my friend Jane's annual Girls Christmas which she holds every year and luckily, has become a tradition for all of us gals.
Driving home, which I admit, was only a 4 minute trek, I was really thinking about how grateful I am that Stu and I have such amazing friends, and from all walks of life. We have friends back in England, who look at Stu as part of their family and who welcomed me in with no questions asked. We have friends here in Winnipeg, some of which I have known for years and years, and have welcomed Stu into their group as well. Our Frenchies, who have become our family and our weekend soulmates. Our church friends, who are quickly becoming essentials in our lives. Work friends who have mixed business with friendship, and on top of that, new friends that Stu has made here in Winnipeg as well that share an interest in his work and hobbies. And who could forget our family, who are also doubling as friends these days and enrich our lives so very much every time we get together.
Where would we be without you guys?
We are so thankful to have you guys in our lives and really can't say or do enough to show you that. So, as we look towards 2011, our hopes is that it will be a year blessed with a million more moments and loads more memories to come. I can only hope that enough people might read this and know that from the bottom of our hearts, we love you!
Side Note: It was impossible to find photos of everyone who has touched our lives in this way but here is just a sampling. There are many, many more that could and should be recognized in the photos above!
